It seems like the older you get and the more time you have under your belt, the quicker time goes. A year seems like months, instead of like five years like it did in high school. Four years of college are flying by and I'm about halfway done already.

I've been busy with school and haven't been photographing as much as I used to. I've been exploring drawing and such lately and photography (and modelling) seems to have taken a back seat for me. Ah well. As long as there's still creativity brewing.

I'm helping out with the niche gallery on campus starting this year, which is really fun. The niche gallery is a locker on campus that was converted into basically a mini gallery. My friend and fellow artist Lisa Spinelli is this year's head curator and has been showing me the ropes and we've been brainstorming ideas for the gallery over the summer.

The niche gallery and classes are helping me (very) gradually become more involved with the art community here, which is a lot bigger and intertwined than I'd originally thought. It's actually a community! A lot of local artists are involved with the university, whether teaching or taking classes, and it's great getting to know them through classes before I go out into that big scary art world.

Working at the campus library has inspired me too- I find that I really enjoy it and would like to continue in the field. I'm hoping to get a master's degree in Library Science (probably online) and be a librarian after I graduate. I like the idea of a solid career, as I've never really felt like I could or want to push my art on people for money. Being an artist as a career requires the entrepreneur spirit that I don't really have. Being an artist for the heck of it, on the other hand, requires whatever spirit you want.

Jon/Billy and I are doing great. I don't think I ever expected to find a guy that I'd love *life* with. I'm so glad I have.
