Yes, as a matter of fact, I am still alive!

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 26, 2008, 12:16 PM
You know you've been away from dA too long when you sign in to 222 deviations, three "pages" of journals, and have four folders of photos to go through/resize/upload. Oops. =P

I've been staying busy with university and the man, Billy/Jon/Pooks. I'm taking a painting class (I was going to go paint today but resizing/uploading took all morning and most of the afternoon). I really like it, look for the work I show off on my other account, [link]. I've got two up already.
I'm also taking psychology and drama movement (another fun class), working at the University library 4 hours every week, and taking Akido with Billy two nights a week as well. I was taking Greek Mythology/Tragedy but dropped because it was taking time away from painting and stressing me out too much.
I will also be moving again, into an apartment with Billy, within the next three months. =) Can't wait. Oh, and I'm reading Duma Key by Stephen King. Fucking excellent book, mate. A favourite, I should think.

So anyway, I will try to get all those pictures for your viewing pleasure as soon as I manage to, but be patient with me. I've just uploaded a batch of 24 pictures from August's annual family trip to my Mom's home state of Oregon. =) Was a good trip, to be sure.

I also have pictures from the July trip to Manitoba with my friends Ripley, Lois, and Shane; some Roots and Blues festival pictures and Lindsay's tattoo pictures from last February; and of course the pictures I've taken since getting back to Canada.

I also got a scanner but don't have a chair for my desk, and so never have my computer AT the desk to plug the scanner into. Makes sense right? >.< hehe.

So I'll see you all around! Thanks for visiting,

IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 14, 2008, 1:38 AM
Apparently one of the Representatives brought forth 35 articles of impeachment against President G.W. Bush. This was brought to my awareness not by the media but by a friend of mine, Anarch-Renae.

That point alone is interesting. The article provides a link to the charges themselves, which is a bit long, but I skimmed through about half of it. Here is a link to the article: [link]

The article urges us citizens and resident aliens to be granted our right to information. 35 articles, folks. What took them so long? was my initial reaction, followed by "who else could be charged if he can?" Bush is accused of more or less initiating the war (in/on) Iraq. I've never liked the guy (the first time I saw his picture when he was running, I disliked him; I'm still not sure why but I'm glad my instincts were there even then)but I have always gotten the impression he was a mere puppet for his administration, so I'm not sure how I feel about *him* getting impeached.

However, when I read the actual articles I found myself indignant, particularly at a section (in Article X) regarding Jessica Lynch. Apparently Bush/the government is accused of "falsifying accounts of Troop deaths and injuries for political reasons". Lynch was not injured in battle as was previously claimed; she survived an automobile accident. She was not wounded from gunshots; she was wounded from broken bones.

If her story was falsified how many other lies did they feed us?

I would like to know. I'm rather curious; the impeachment would lead to real investigation under public eye rather than the government's alone. I would like to see the trials because I have questions I've wondered since it all began: I would like to know how much Bush had to do with this. I want to know if he was a mere puppet who spoke the words, or if it was he who dreamt of certain prosperity. If he really wanted all of it, I would like to know how he got his administration in the same boat. I would like to know how many lies the government told about Iraq.

No matter what the outcome, it would be a fascinating trial, as Anarch said. However, as the article pointed out, the charges aren't being publicized (which again seems to say something to me about the whole damn thing).

I am going to try to write these people, more out of curiousity than out of anything else, and I encourage anyone else to do the same. We have the right to know, and if we don't ask who knows what we're getting.

We're a world power, America; what we do can change the world. Though not always for the better, but we can try our best.

Llama Llama Duck.

Journal Entry: Thu May 29, 2008, 12:18 AM
Regarding the last journal entry, I'm feeling much better. It's probably not over but I will be okay. Storm's over, it's safe to come out now! (ILY Sparkles and Jordan and Billy and Lindsay and and and....)

That being said, I've been staying up til dawn and sleeping when my dad wakes up. The last batch of pictures are my sudden morning inspiration- the red light from the curtains was just sooo intriguing and I was delighted to find out that it was bright enough for photographs. They're a bit grainy, but that's only fair.

I also wanted to comment about the previous batch of pictures. The Hives and Locksley pictures. Omg. THE HIVES ARE AMAZING and Locksley are such sweethearts! Amptcat, Hartley, and I all got to the concert early enough that we got to stand right against the railing, and I was right in front of the bassist of Locksley (hehe, he's cuuute ^_^ and I got his pick!) and later in front of Nick Arson of the Hives. OMG HE'S FREAKY and amazing and he was great for the show. Pelle made full use of our fandom (well... almost full, but ya know.) and he came to our corner several times; we got to touch his hand like three times, and then he leaned over us so his hand was on Ryan's head and he was leaning on my arm. AHHHH *MELT* what a babe. Again, he's cocky as hell, but OhMyMotherFxckingQuestionableGod just the same. It was amazing. We all got kind of starstruck.
I got some awesome pictures from the concert, and rediscovered my desire to be a concert photographer. The battery on my camera kept dying though so I couldn't get as many pictures, and I missed the chance to snap a shot of Pelle when he was close enough to rape. (Nathan's words. XD) But that's alright, just means I got to actually watch the concert too.
In conclusion, if you ever get the chance to see the Hives performing, don't question it. Just do it. DO IT. DOOOOO EEEEEET!! They put on a great show. Good for all audiences, I think. Them and Locksley both. Kickass. \m/

I'm also getting psyched for next month. hehehe. And I'm not sure when but soon I'll be assisting the root of all evil. But they'll be paying me. Soon, I will rule the world. Isn't that right, fellow evil-doer Brother-Jack? XD

So it's 3 am... and I have Shaun of the Dead to watch again tonight too, so things are overall looking up. So I hope you guys like the new pictures and I'll see you around. ^_^

I wanted to wait until I could think of something interesting or relevant to say but I can't think of anything.

I love and I hate. I smile and I rage. I'm alive I guess. We're alive.

That counts for something, right?
